10 Quick Bible Facts About What
Jesus Really Taught About the Ten Commandments
1.
Jesus
Himself said that He did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. He would never, ever change or alter the
commandments. Matthew 5:17, 18.
2.
Jesus
declared whosoever would break any of the commandments, and teach men to do so,
that person would be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19.

When the
rich young ruler asked, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?,” Jesus
replied “Keep the commandments,” specifically, the 10 commandments spoken from
Mt. Sinai. Matthew 19:17-19, 21.

Jesus died
on the cross for our sins. Sin is the
transgression of God’s 10 commandments of love.
1 John 3:4. If the 10 commandments
were nailed to the cross, and we no longer need to keep them, then Jesus died
in vain. Because if there are no
commandments, there is no sin. And if
there is no sin, there is no need for a sacrifice for sin.

James the
brother of Jesus taught that we will all be judged by the 10 commandments (the
royal law of liberty). James 2:8-12.

beloved apostle of Jesus, taught that anyone who claims to know Christ, yet
