Pray For More Power
"Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone." Zechariah 10:1.
The promise of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is ours to claim. The Holy Spirit will be given in response to the earnest, fervent prayer of faith. The farmer earnestly prayed and watched and waited for the precious latter rain to fall upon his growing crops, to mature and ripen them for the harvest. Shall we be as humble, earnest and dependent upon the blessing of God as was the faithful farmer? The showers of the Holy Spirit will fall upon all who will humble themselves, repent and pray with overcoming faith for the early and latter rain.
Our Heavenly Father, we lift our hearts in earnest prayer for the gift of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain. We confess all of our sins and repent of them, asking for forgiveness and for power to remove every hindrance in our hearts that impedes our receipt of your promise. We love you and thank you for hearing us and graciously answering according to your Word. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
