A Prayer for Love and Harmony in the World

Dear Lord,

in this world where strife and conflict between brothers is the norm,

teach us how to truly love one another,

and cast out all fear and hate.

In place of ignorance and superstition, help us to value our differences and

learn to listen to perspectives that are different from our own.

Teach us to stand with those who are downtrodden and oppressed,

and fearlessly advocate for the rights of all people.

Teach us how to love and welcome the stranger,

to build bridges and tear down walls.

Help us to fully embrace all that is comprehended in your holy command,

"You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Amen.
